When Jesus died to save us from our sins, he wasn’t looking to be “right”-- he was looking to restore what was broken. He didn’t look to engage the religious people on a superficial level. He wasn’t playing the blame game. And he’s looking for you to do the same thing.

The point is this: Restoration is Better than Being Right.

Reflection Questions

  1. Have I been bringing “sacrifices” before God but I still find myself hitting a wall? Is God telling me to resolve an issue with someone?

  2. Do I value restoration more than right -or- would I settle for restoration if it meant not being “right”?

My prayer: Give me the courage to lay down my pride and thirst for vengeance. Let me offer blessing and love and peace to those who hurt me.
